Vicky Derouen is originally from Erath, Louisiana. Vicky and her husband, Curney Derouen, have been happily married for the past 40 years. Together they have raised three children, and they also have four grandchildren. Vicky attended Lafayette General Medical Center School of Health Sciences Practical Nursing Program in Lafayette, LA. Vicky graduated near the top of her class where she was recognized for her perfect attendance. She was also recognized as the co-winner for the Outstanding Clinical Achievement Award. Upon graduation, she worked in an office environment and as a surgical assistant with a general surgeon for five years. For the past nine years, Vicky has worked with the geriatric population in Acadiana nursing homes where she enjoys talking in Cajun French. Vicky also enjoys reading, camping, traveling and photography. She belongs to the Catholic Daughters Association of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Erath.
